SORMAS at the Digital Public Health Conference 2026
The SORMAS Foundation participated in the Digital Public Health Conference (DPH) 2026 in Barcelona, joining researchers, public health practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to discuss current challenges and innovations in digital public health.
Over three days, the conference explored key topics including One Health, digital public infrastructure, data standards, interoperability, misinformation and trust, federated systems, and equitable access to digital health technologies.
As part of the scientific program, the SORMAS Foundation presented recent developments in the integration of One Health approaches within SORMAS. In collaboration with colleagues from the Luxembourg Directorate of Health, the team also facilitated a tabletop exercise based on a simulated Giardia outbreak. The exercise demonstrated how routine disease surveillance and emergency response can be effectively integrated using digital tools.
Beyond the presentations, the conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen collaborations with experts working in digital public health across diverse settings and countries. The discussions and networking reinforced the importance of interoperable, sustainable, and collaborative digital solutions for strengthening public health systems worldwide.
