SORMAS 1.104 is here!

The SORMAS Foundation is pleased to announce the release of SORMAS 1.104, bringing a range of new features and improvements that enhance flexibility, interoperability, and efficiency for public health surveillance and outbreak response.

This release introduces several key enhancements designed to improve data collection, laboratory workflows, immunization management, and integration with external systems.

What's New in SORMAS 1.104

Customizable forms: Administrators can now create custom fields directly through the SORMAS user interface for case forms, epidemiological data forms, and exposure forms. This makes it easier to tailor SORMAS to national and local surveillance and public health emergency requirements without additional development.

Redesigned exposure form: A new category-driven exposure form supports more comprehensive data collection across One Health domains (human, animal, and environmental health). The redesigned form captures exposure categories, locations, and settings, providing a stronger foundation for epidemiological analysis.

Enhanced laboratory workflow: Laboratory sample and test management has been redesigned to automatically prefilter relevant sample and test types based on the active disease. In addition, specimens are now aligned with the SNOMED CT master list, enabling improved documentation of quantitative laboratory results and greater interoperability.

Expanded disease coverage: SORMAS now includes comprehensive case-based surveillance support for Shigellosis and Salmonellosis, further extending the platform's disease portfolio.

NGSurvey integration: A new integration with NGSurvey enables seamless transfer of survey data into SORMAS, allowing case information to be updated automatically and improving data consistency across systems.

Improved immunization module: The immunization module now automatically calculates vaccination status based on recorded immunization data. An enhanced side panel also enables faster and more convenient vaccination data entry.
