SORMAS Foundation at the first PHRESH General Assembly in Luxembourg

On March 25, the Health Inspection Division of the Luxembourg Health Directorate – Direction de la Santé (DISA), hosted the annual General Assembly of the PHRESH project.

The project, co-funded by the European Union / European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), aims to make epidemiological surveillance more responsive, better integrated, and more resilient by expanding digital tools and improving the flow of information between all relevant players.

In practical terms, this means linking data from doctors, laboratories, hospitals, and other key sources more effectively, so that unusual patterns can be spotted earlier and coordinated responses can be launched when needed.

As part of the project, SORMAS is being implemented as the national surveillance system.

The SORMAS Foundation contributes to the PHRESH project by adding multiple new supported infectious diseases as well as interoperability with existing IT-infrastructure and One Health features.
