SORMAS Foundation and PAHO Sign Agreement to Advance Epidemic Intelligence and Collaborative Surveillance
The SORMAS Foundation and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) have established a new strategic partnership to jointly advance epidemic intelligence initiatives and strengthen the implementation of collaborative surveillance. This collaboration aligns with the Strategy on Epidemic Intelligence for Strengthening Early Warning of Health Emergencies 2024–2029.
Under PAHO’s leadership, the SORMAS Foundation will support the rollout of community-based surveillance initiatives, contribute to capacity-building efforts in epidemic intelligence for early warning, and help empower local actors involved in surveillance activities across Member States.
Through this cooperation, both organizations aim to advance Epidemic Intelligence and Collaborative Surveillance as core pillars of health emergency prevention, preparedness, response, and resilience.
